Hull boss Adam Pearson has revealed that a Rugby Football League tribunal will look into Luke Briscoe’s move to Leeds.
The 17-year-old Briscoe is a product of Hull’s youth system and it was hoped that he would enjoy a prosperous career with the Black and Whites. However, he instead signed a four-year deal with the Rhinos in September.
Hardly thrilled with losing out on a hot prospect, Pearson revealed that the matter is not closed, with the RFL looking into the transfer.
“The Luke Briscoe saga sent a stark message to all at the club and simply this won’t be tolerated again,” Pearson said in the club’s official matchday programme.
“The whole incident has left a bitter taste and it is something we will continue to pursue until we feel we can settle on an adequate outcome.
“We are not in the business of developing strong Super League players simply to feed our rival clubs and from now on that will stop. If they are good enough, there is only one place we will see them playing - Hull FC.”
