Moa red upsets Gentle

Peter Gentle believes that being the final game of the weekend was the reason why Sam Moa was sent off in Hull’s 22-14 win over the Broncos.

Despite being a man down, the hosts claimed their first Super League victory of the 2012 season, with Moa’s exit on 61 minutes prompting a grandstand finish.

However, Gentle felt his player was victim of previous fixtures that weekend. 

“I think the decision was an over-reaction because the games I have seen over the weekend there was plenty of opportunities for players to be sent off,” he told Press Association Sport.

“That’s the problem being the last game at the weekend, you bear the brunt of what has happened in previous games. I don’t think it was a sending off offence, but we’ll let the judiciary panel decide whether he gets charged or not.”
