Hodgson adds to Rovers’ injury woes

Hull KR suffered another injury setback when England wing David Hodgson was ruled out for six weeks after tearing a pectoral muscle.

Hodgson sustained the injury during the 36-all draw with St Helens on Sunday.

“Dave partially tore his pectoral muscle scoring his try,” Rivers coach Craig Sandercock told the Hull Daily Mail.

“He’ll be out for between four to six weeks.

“He did well to play the remainder of the game with the injury. Believe me, it’s not a pleasant injury to have. To his credit he didn’t complain to me at half-time when I said I thought he could defend a bit better.”

The Robins have already lost the services of scrum-half Michael Dobson this season while prop Ryan O’Hara, stand-off Blake Green and skipper Ben Galea were ruled out before the campaign started.
