QPR earned a point on their travels to Swansea thanks to a second-half strike from Jamie Mackie, ending a run of three consecutive defeats.
The Swans took the lead in the 14th minute when Danny Graham slotted his sixth goal of the season. The forward controlled a Wayne Routledge cross, seemingly with the help of his arm, before sending the ball into the bottom corner of the R’s goal.
Graham was, however, unlucky to be denied a penalty after he appeared to be brought down in the area by Armand Traore in the closing stages of the clash.
The striker came close to extending the hosts’ lead but his shot was blocked shortly before Joey Barton’s effort was well saved by Michel Vorm.
Heidar Helguson had two great chances to equalise but missed his headed attempts from Barton and Luke Young’s respective crosses.
The visitors finally levelled matters in the 58th minute via Mackie. Leon Britton’s defensive header did not go in the desired direction and gave Mackie the opportunity to equalise as it fell perfectly for the QPR player, who calmly steered his strike past Vorm.
Adel Taarabt threatened late on as he unleashed a curling strike from the edge of the area, but Vorm was up to the task as he palmed away the shot which seemed destined for the bottom corner of the goal.
However, Swansea held on for the draw as the Premier League newcomers shared the spoils.
