Campbell: In fine fettle

Fraizer Campbell’s second goal in three days set Sunderland on their way to a comfortable 3-0 win over Norwich at the Stadium of Light.
After both securing passage into the FA Cup Fifth Round draw at the weekend these two mid-table sides met on Wearside but, in truth, only one side ever looked like taking the points.
Campbell, making his first start in over 18 months, continued his fine comeback from injury with a fabulous volley on 21 minutes that left a helpless John Ruddy grasping at thin air.
The former Manchester United striker scored the equaliser against Middlesbrough and confidence was flowing through his veins as he teed himself up 25 yards from goal.
Stephane Sessegnon is another Sunderland man in fine form of late and the tricky former PSG man started a blistering counter attack and then finished it off with a cool header from a Campbell cross to double the lead just seven minutes later.
Martin O’Neill has transformed Sunderland into a side full of attacking intent and the pattern of the game changed little after the break and it came as little surprise when they found a third before the hour mark as Phil Bardsley’s low cross was deflected into his own net by the unfortunate Daniel Ayala.
Norwich were second best all night and Paul Lambert will be bitterly disappointed as his side are leapfrogged by tonight’s opponents who suddenly find themselves looking towards the European places.
