Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is believed to be a target of big-spending Paris Saint-Germain and could make a switch to Ligue 1 at the end of the season.

According to French media reports, the controversial Reds forward may be enticed to Parc de Princes if the Carlo Ancelotti-led outfit secure a UEFA Champions League spot for the 2012/13 campaign.

L’Equipe says that with the financial backing of their Qatari owners, the Parisians have the clout to approach the Uruguay international’s representatives to discuss a potential deal.

It hasn’t been all fun and roses for the 24-year-old in England the last few months following an eight-match ban for racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.

The former Ajax Amsterdam ace also caused further discourse between the clubs on Saturday when he refused to shake hands with Evra before their Premier League clash at Old Trafford.

Suarez has since issued an apology for his actions, but whether it will cool any further outbursts between the old rivals or stem the abuse from opposing supporters remains to be seen.
