Snodgrass: Talks have not stalled

Leeds United manager Simon Grayson has rubbished reports claiming Robert Snodgrass has pulled out of contract talks with the Yorkshire club.
Snodgrass was the subject of a failed bid by Norwich last summer, at which stage club and player agreed to put contract talks on the backburner until a time suitable to both parties.
Reports are now claiming Snodgrass has decided to break off contract talks altogether after Leeds accepted Norwich’s bid for Johnny Howson last week.
“His contract talks have not got going since the summer,” Grayson told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
“We turned down a bid from Norwich and both parties agreed then that we would leave it until it suits us both. It’s not as if we’ve got round the table in the last 10 days and things have stalled.
“There’ve been no negotiations for four to five months and that was agreed in the summer. He still has 18 months on his contract so we’re in a good position.
“Whoever’s come up with the story saying talks have broken down is talking rubbish.”
