McCarthy: Not happy with fans

Mick McCarthy has labelled Wolves’ fans “mindless idiots” for chanting he would be axed during their 2-2 draw with Swansea on Saturday.
The Wolves boss was infuriated after sections of the crowd were heard singing, “You’re getting sacked in the morning”, when Wolves slipped behind 2-0 to the Swans.
But although they faced a sixth successive defeat, McCarthy’s men bounced back to secure the draw.
Wolves have an upcoming Carling Cup clash with Manchester City at Molineux, but McCarthy has slammed the fans as negative saying that sort of support will benefit nobody.
“Let me clear something up. It (the negative support) doesn’t help. Let’s not give them any credit,” the Irishman said.
“Let’s not give any of the dissenting voices, the mindless idiots that do it, any credit whether it’s aimed at me, Karl Henry, Andy Keogh or Stephen Ward.
“Do not give them any credence or any credit for getting us playing well or getting a result. They don’t deserve any of that. There was no credit given to any of them at all for the 2-2 draw.”
