Ertugral: Waxing philosophical

Golden Arrows coach Muhsin Ertugral knows his neck is inching ever closer to the chopping block, but remains confident of finally securing the results the club so desperately craves.
Abafana Bes’thende have crashed to defeats in both their PSL matches so far this year, going down 3-2 to Bloemfontein Celtic last Wednesday before succumbing to a 2-1 loss against SuperSport United on Saturday.
Those results, coupled with the nine previous league defeats they have suffered this term, have left the Lamontville outfit dangling just above the relegation zone after 17 Premiership matches.
However, Ertugral is confident his side are slowly finding their stride and that another season in South Africa’s top flight is still on the cards for the club.
“Sometimes if it doesn’t go your way it doesn’t. When it rains it pours for us,” the Turk told The Citizen.
“But I’m not disappointed with my boys, we need to get our heads up, it will come eventually.”
Ertugral took over the reins from Ernst Middendorp towards the beginning of the season, and he admits he has grown very fond of the players during his short tenure at the club.
“I’m enjoying myself with these guys, they are learning. But the most important thing is we need to get the results and I think it will come soon,” he added.
