Blackburn midfielder David Dunn has urged the Premier League club’s owners to start communicating with the frustrated supporters.
Indian poultry firm Venky’s have come under much criticism after completing their takeover of the Ewood Park outfit in November 2010.
The club’s supporters were left bemused by their decision to sack Sam Allardyce and subsequently replace him with managerial debutant Steve Kean.
And Dunn believes the time is right for Venky’s to end their silence and open a dialogue with the fans who have become increasingly frustrated with a lack of communication.
Dunn told The Sun: “The fans have been criticised from all ends of the country.
“But in the last few games they’ve been fantastic, right behind us.
“I understand totally there need to be some decisions made. It’s the owners’ decision but there needs to be communication - that’s what the fans want.
“The fans have always been great for me but if they can keep their protests outside the ground, we play with more confidence.
“So let’s clear all the rubbish out and try to build up this great club again. If everyone sticks together we can go on from here.”
