Stoke have received a boost as Rory Delap has won his appeal against the red card he received in Sunday’s 2-0 FA Cup win over Crawley.
Delap was dismissed for a sliding challenge on David Hunt, with Potters boss Tony Pulis visibly unhappy with the decision at the time.
However, the automatic three-match suspension has now been rescinded by the Football Association.
An FA statement read: “Stoke City’s Rory Delap has had his claim for wrongful dismissal upheld.
“As a result, the three-match suspension handed to him has been withdrawn with immediate effect.”
