Bournemouth are interested in turning Steve Cook’s loan move into a permanent deal when January transfer window opens.
The Brighton defender has made eight appearances for the Cherries since being farmed out to the club in October.
According to Brighton boss Guy Poyet, Bournemouth are ready to make an offer for the 20-year-old whose deal expires at the end of the season.
“They (Bournemouth) are trying to approach us but it’s going to take a while to know what is going to happen so we’ll see,” said Poyet in The Argus.
“It is not always in our hands to control the situation.
“He is finishing his contract as well, so we need to see what we are doing.”
