Hull caretaker boss Nick Barmby wants his players to show character and bounce back from three successive defeats.
The Tigers’ 1-0 defeat by Derby County on Monday was their third on the trot by the same scoreline after defeats to Middlesbrough and Burnley in the two previous fixtures.
“We’ve got to keep believing,” Barmby told the club’s official website.
“It’s a test of character now for the lads to show what they are all about and to show how much they want to get out of this division because it is there for them if they truly believe in it.
“We need to stick together and bounce back.
“Anyone who has seen the last three games will be able to tell you that things aren’t going for us, but also we’ve shown a little bit of indifferent finishing. However, that is because we have set good standards and we’re falling a little bit short of that at the minute.
“The lads will keep believing. I want them to go out there and express themselves and enjoy themselves. I don’t think there is an awful lot wrong. The defence and the shape of the team is good, but we just need to keep passing and probing and move off the ball a little bit better.”
